Tsukiyo connects to your ceiling’s existing wiring—where your previous pendant light was located. No additional drilling required. Attach the ceiling rose to the ceiling.
Connect the wires (live, neutral, ground). Slide the sphere onto the cable. Adjust the height—150 cm of cable, which can be shortened depending on your ceiling height. Screw in an E27 bulb, max 40 W, 3000 K recommended.
Installation takes about 15 minutes. If you have any doubts about the wiring, we recommend consulting an electrician.

The Tsukiyo sphere arrives folded—the paper retains its shape and returns to its exact roundness once unfolded.

Quelle taille dois-je choisir ?
Small (40 cm diameter) for a bedroom or reading nook—it creates an intimate space without taking up too much room.
Medium (60 cm diameter) above a dining table or in a standard-sized living room—this is the most versatile size.
Large (80 cm diameter) for rooms with high ceilings or large living rooms, where it becomes the focal point of the room.
A simple rule: the pendant light should not extend beyond the width of the table below it.
At what height should it be installed?
Above a dining table: 70 to 80 cm between the bottom of the lamp and the table surface. In a living room or bedroom: the bottom of the globe should be about 200 cm from the floor. The cord is adjustable—150 cm in total length, and can be shortened depending on the ceiling height.
Le papier washi est-il fragile ?
No. Washi is made from mulberry fibers—it’s tear-resistant and doesn’t permanently crease.
The hanging decoration arrives folded and returns to its exact shape once unfolded. It’s built to last.
Comment l'installer ?
Tsukiyo connects to the existing wiring in the ceiling—where the previous pendant light was located. Attach the ceiling rose, connect the wires, slide the globe onto the cable, and screw in the light bulb.
Installation takes about 15 minutes. If you have any doubts about the wiring, we recommend consulting an electrician.
Can a variable-speed drive be used?
Yes, provided you use a dimmable LED bulb. Check the packaging for compatibility before purchasing.
What is the difference between the black wire and the white wire?
Purely aesthetic. The black wire stands out against a light-colored ceiling and gives it a more graphic look.

My lamp arrived damaged. What should I do?
Send a photo to contact@raitodesign.com. We will ship a new unit at our expense without requiring you to return the damaged lamp.
Is the suspension covered by the warranty?
2 years. In the event of a manufacturing defect, we offer a replacement or refund with no questions asked.
